Overview

Ziggy the Rescue Kitty is a fictionalized account of a snow-shoe kitten's rescue and trip to his new adoptive home. We travel along with Ziggy on his trip to the animal shelter, to the vet, and through his adoption day. Being chosen for adoption, he travels from the shelter to home where he meets his new family which includes a grumpy kitty brother and two great dane sisters.

Tama Blake is a Nurse who lives in South Amboy, New Jersey with her family and a menagerie of animals (two Great Danes, a Marble Bengal Cat, a Siamese Kitten with three paws, and Ziggy, The Snow Shoe Cat. She volunteers at a local animal shelter which rescues and coordinates adoptions for kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs which inspired her debut Children's Book Ziggy the Rescue Kitty Gets a New Home. She is a recreational artist who has shown her artwork locally.
