Where life ends, Chimwala's and Desmond's life in Valhalla begins. Thrust into the Viking afterlife, the two soldiers must find their way amongst the honored dead of all Earth's fallen warriors. Far from the romantic skaldic tales of old, there is more to do here than simply fight and feast: a war rages in heaven, and the flames of that conflict threatens to consume all. From one forever war to an eternal war, Desmond and Chimwala are forced to pick a side. They must learn as much as they can about Valhalla while confronting their killer, grappling with their own sordid pasts, and learning to cope, somehow, with the lives they left behind.
