A woman who had to acquire the ability to confront her fear, demons and herself to be able to evolve into the woman she is today, but had yet to become. Her story is represented through the stages of pregnancy, for she needed to give birth to the woman she was always meant to be.

About the Author

I was born in a poor neighborhood of Ponce in Puerto Rico, on February 14, 1983. I currently live in the state of New York. I hold a General Studies Associate Degree in Arts and Social Sciences and an Undergraduate Degree in psychology. I work in the health field as a social navigator. My accomplishments have been graduating from college without knowing much English, graduating with honors in Bible Studies, and being a role model and leader for others in a society that marginalizes women like me who have gone through traumas and hardships. I am also the mother of three wonderful sons. Victor, Luis, and Jai who are my entire life. I am grateful for being the woman I am today, despite the labels they tried to put on me.
