Overview

September 1923: Vincent tries to escape to France to avoid being married. While he would like to spend his time with his friends, he happens to be the only heir to Mr. Matthias Fawn, a wealthy oil baron with a family legacy dating back to 1750. After the mansion burns down , Mr. Fawn has been announced missing, and Vincent must take the earliest ship from London to Catskill, New York. Vincent is sent to live with his aunt and uncle, but on the ship, he is reunited with his ex-girlfriend, miss Sona Akiyama. Sona's father, who happens to be a detective, is investigating the disappearance of Vincent's father. As Miss Sona Akiyama falls in love with Vincent's rival, Vincent overcome with jealousy ignores the impending danger of the cult following him. After moving to Catskill, Vincent slowly loses his memory and succumbs to vivid visions of butterflies and faces in the walls. He then learns about the numerous missing persons and murders, and wonders if he is on the brink of insanity or if something ominous lurks in Manhattan. Vincent may not be the nicest person but to stop the cult he will have to overcome his jealousy and hopefully survive.
