Overview

The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is a subject marked with so many controversies because of the different interpretations that have been given to the same set of scriptures. However there are certain truths clearly stated in the scripture: the second coming of the Lord which is also called the 'Day of the Lord' is a singular event (1 Thes 5:2, 2 Pe 3:10); the resurrection of believers that have slept in the Lord and the changing into new bodies of those who are alive will occur at the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ (1st Corin 15:51-52, 1st Thes 4:13-17); and the second coming of the Lord Jesus will occur sometime after the antichrist has been revealed whose reign will be ended by the Lord's second coming (2nd Thes 2:8). The news of the Lord's second coming is good news for those that are looking forward to his return. It is for this reason that this singular most important event after the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus is called the 'Blessed Hope', that is, the hope of our salvation. If Jesus is not coming back then we are of all men most miserable. Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we will be no more, but thanks be to God who has loved us with an everlasting love. Everyone who names the name of Jesus Christ shall be saved, on that day. To name the name of Jesus is to accept the Lord Jesus as one's personal Lord and Savior. Behold, He comes! Blessed and holy is he that partakes in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ. This book is a journey into Holy Bible on the truth about the second coming of the Lord Jesus so that through what is written we may have comfort while we wait for Him to appear.
