About the Author

Moses D. Powe is an author and CEO of POWEM Publishers LLC. His life has been one of focus, dedication, and distinguished service in mental health counseling. Understanding the importance of giving back, he has supported numerous social and public organizations throughout his life. He has been an integral part of the American Legion's South Carolina Palmetto Boys State program for over 25 years, and is in the process of developing the Fatherless Fathers platform, a support community for fathers who grew up without their own. Moses is a proud member of the illustrious Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and a mentor to students pursuing careers in mental health. Moses holds multiple degrees, from a Bachelor's in Psychology from Howard University to a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. He is a licensed clinical professional counselor, approved by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists, and has been providing therapy and clinical supervision in the State of Maryland for many years. In addition to having worked with adjudicated youth inside of residential treatment facilities, Moses has nearly two decades of experience in outpatient mental health clinics and community outreach programs. He currently works in a 28-day assessment center that provides reintegration programming for high-risk offenders and defendants with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. His actions are directed toward helping other men become exemplary by every measure. POWEM Publishers is the result of his life-long dream. Through this company he has built a robust platform aimed at helping fatherless fathers. Moses established Fatherless Fathers Publishing and is the host of the Fatherless Fathers podcast. It has been his life's dream to provide quality encouragement along with the necessary tools to improve lives, motivate those in need, and offer a foundation for others to build on. Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Moses has lived all over the Northeast, including South Carolina, Washington D.C., and Maryland, where he eventually settled with his wife and son.
