About the Author


Heather Lee Houdek trained at the Appalachia School of Holistic Herbalism, and also participated in Floricopia's Essential Oils program, Traditional Appalachian Herbalism, and other programs. She regularly attends herbalist gatherings such as the Green Path Gathering and the Southeast Women's Herb Conference. Her teaching experience includes the Appalachia School of Holistic Herbalism in Asheville, NC; The International Center in Greenville, SC; and Clemson University; as well as a number of private workshops. Her most recent classes have been a six-week series in hands-on medicine making, with two of the six classes in herbal body care products. She currently works for the American Herbalists Guild in Asheville, NC.
