"Why are you on my land?" Chris said as he rode alongside her. She shook her head and said, "The last time I checked this was Clayton's ranch. Or are you the kid that inherited this ranch?" Chris nodded along with the motion of the horse and said, "Clayton gave me the ranch. He's my grandfather." She nodded without another word. After a while Chris asked, thinking about her skills back at the creek, "How did you learn to ride like that?" She smiled and said jokingly, "Years of ditching guys like you." Chris chuckled and asked in response to her insult, "What kind of guys are they now?" The girl smiled and took the chance to mess with him then looked at him and said, "Well guys that don't know when to give up, or take a hint." Chris shook his head at her humor and sighed.
