About the Author

Barry Clark (PhD, U Mass, Amherst) is Professor Emeritus and former Chair of the Economics Department at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. He has taught at Ripon College, the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Tufts, the Pennsylvania State University, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and the University of Colorado-Boulder, where he currently offers a comparative economics course. He has written a text on Political Economy for Praeger and has published numerous articles on political economy. Clark's career focus, however, has been on teaching and making difficult ideas accessible to a broader group of students.
