Overview

In this gripping true-crime story, Joe Grimsley relates the details of the grisly murders of a man and two teenagers, of them, the murdered man's son. The story begins with the disappearance of the three on September 3, 1985, and concludes with a courtroom drama that no Hollywood writer could pen. The jury found the defendant guilty and then in a remarkable twist, after being dismissed and returning home, they changed their minds, which necessitated a mistrial. In between, there was a frantic search that included family members of the trio, several law enforcement agencies, and a strange pyshic that rivaled Rasputin for weirdness. What the searchers found was as gruesome as a scene from a horror movie.

About the Author

Joe Grimsley graduated from high school at the young age of sixteen in Glasgow, Kentucky. He served as a military policeman in the Air Force, working in law enforcement and security. For more than twenty-five years he worked for the world’s largest printer, R. R. Donnelley and Sons. Mr. Grimsley had a passionate personal interest in the true-life crime story he wrote about. He wrote the book, he said, simply because “justice wasn’t done in the community or the courtroom.”
