About the Author

Patti D’Amelio has spent most of her life working with her students and children, and, now, her grandkids. She has been a teacher for over thirty years and, in 1999, she received the “Educator of Excellence Award” by the New York State English Council. Patti said that she was especially proud of her students who won numerous awards for their writing submissions to local writing competitions. In addition to their writing pieces being showcased in the district’s publications, they were also invited to attend ceremonies and share their “published” works. Her advice to young writers is to find their voice. “When you are satisfied with your writing piece, then it is indeed ready for publication.”
Isabelle Juliano Rapacciuolo has been a professional artist and designer for over 25 years.
