The Circus of Storms appears at random, then collapses overnight and disappears without a trace. The performers are never seen unmasked. Even the faces of their dragons are painted secrets.
No new performers, not even top-ranking graduates from the prestigious School of Dragonmanship Arts, can get into the show.
But that can't stop Novalie Robinson from dreaming.
Novalie is just a pizza place girl, barely getting by on the rough side of the tracks and wishing for wings on every star in the heavens. When the mysterious circus returns to Paikka, she's determined not to let anything stop her from going.
