CHAPTER 1

"Oh no Princess Bing Bong, not again!" cried Gibbles the stuffed monkey.

Princess Bing Bong woke up with her feet on the bed and her head on the floor. All she could see were her giant gorilla slippers sticking up in the air. Princess Bing Bong usually couldn't fit in her bed with all of her stuffed animals, so she fell out as usual.

"Good morning, Princess Bing Bong!" shouted her father King Flapjack. "Happy Birthday!"

"Can we decorate now?" asked Princess Bing Bong. She loved to help out and she loved to decorate. The only thing Princess Bing Bong loved more than decorating for a party was decorating for her very own birthday party!

Princess Bing Bong loved balloons and King Flap Jack had A LOT of balloons for the party. "I want to put them everywhere," said Princess Bing Bong. "Right where everyone can see them, and I know just where that will be!"

Princess Bing Bong covered the drawbridge, filled the doorway to her castle, and Gibbles helped her by climbing up to the high spots so that people could see them from very far away.

She covered the party table with balloons. "Oh no, not again!" cried Gibbles. "Where will everyone eat?"

"Hmmm," thought Princess Bing Bong. "We will eat on the chairs." Princess Bing Bong set the chairs for eating birthday cake. She set her chairs with a fork, a plate, a napkin and a cup.

"It's time for your special party dress!" exclaimed her mother, Queen Mumbles. Princess Bing Bong saw her special birthday party dress, but then something else caught her eye.

"Oh no, Princess Bing Bong!" cried Queen Mumbles. "That's your astronaut costume! Your friends will be here soon and you should wear your beautiful pink party dress!"

"But Mama!" explained Princess Bing Bong. "If I get a rocket ship for my birthday, I better be ready to fly to the moon right away!" Princess Bing Bong NEVER liked to wear the usual things a Princess would wear or even the usual things children would wear.

"Well, Princess Bing Bong. It is your birthday and we never know what might happen with you," sighed Queen Mumbles.
