Overview

Abigail Davis is a fictional character of a sweet and bright little girl who first experiences sexual violence at the hands of her neighbor Bryant. She has multiple stages of emotions that range from guilt, shame, self-doubt, anger, and fear. She lives with her mother, little brother and Beagle puppy. She finds that strangers are great comforters toward her healing process. Ms. Davis who is her mother finds the strength to be strong for Abigail and attend to her daughter needs. Finally, this new horrific chapter of Abigail life is a journey of how she must be brave to bring her predator to justice.

About the Author

Veronica Hatcher is a retired disabled social worker who counseled emotional, physical, sexual molested children and adults. Veronica understands both personally and professionally how sexual violence impact survivors’ lives. She enjoys reading, writing, watching movies and listening to music. Veronica also worked with veterans for twelve years by assisting them with their benefits. Veronica loves to attend church and she attributes her continue healing with her faith in God. The purpose of this book is to help victims of sexual violence start healing. Veronica knows that this is a silent crime usually with no witnesses. Veronica believes it is important to start a conversation with people of all ages in the world, and to allow this topic to be discuss in their communities. All in all, Veronica is single and lives with her beloved service female dog Precious.
