Overview

Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid was one of the first major albums Matt Serletic (Matchbox20) produced. Before it was an MTV and chart success, the album was released on a small indie label in Atlanta, GA, called Rising Storm Records. Their initial version includes one song not on the Atlantic Records version, the orchestral ballad "Beautiful World." This is a reverse of the typical process -- usually, major labels insist on an extra track for their releases. In this case, early fans were rewarded for obtaining the original version. Other than that, the album is very similar, with minor track listing differences. The Atlantic version was undoubtedly remastered, giving this CD a bit of a quieter sound. This is a good pickup for completist Collective Soul fans. ~ JT Griffith
