About the Author

D. L. Washington is a wife, mother and grandmother from the Washington, DC METRO area. She grew up on the streets of DC and MD for most of her teenage years and manage to escape to the adversities of drugs, death, sex and abuse. Having a spiritual connection with Jesus and having Faith, through it all, she defeated her battle with depression. Most of her personal time is consumed by family and sports. She enjoys being a mother. She has a passion for education and being successful. She continues to work on a Bachelors in Project Management and Masters in Human Services for self-fulfillment and a ministry in counseling. For her, this book was therapeutic and encouragement for the struggles of being a young adult. She believes in the Word of God, that He has a plan to prosper, give hope and a future. Your future IS what YOU make it. Don’t ever give up.
