Purpose: The purpose is to provide the ultimate in descriptive detail of the anatomy of the human body using a regional format. The book is routinely enhanced and updated with the latest new details from published articles. This is the gold standard in anatomy, used worldwide by anatomists and clinicians of every specialty and at every learning level. It is a reference for instructors and a guide for clinicians.
Audience: Realistically, this is not an entry level learner book. It used to be that graduating clinicians were gifted a copy by their parents, and this is even more relevant now with the reduction in anatomical detail in the curriculum. Undoubtedly used by residents in all surgical-based specialties, it often holds a special place on the bookshelves of practitioners in every field.
