About the Author

Paul Murry (1911–1989) was a Disney comic book artist who most notably worked on the Mickey Mouse serials of the 1950s, '60s, and '70s for Dell Publishing and Gold Key Comics. Previously, he worked as an assistant at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he contributed to projects such as Pinocchio and Dumbo, among others. He also made a name for himself as a gag cartoonist and illustrated a number of Woody Woodpecker comic books.

Carl Fallberg wrote and drew for Disney (Snow White, Fantasia), Hanna-Barbera (Scooby Doo), and Warner Brothers (Yosemite Sam) animation studios, and on many comic book adaptation of animated shows, for more than forty years.

Richard Timothy "Dick" Kinney (December 15, 1916 in Utah – March 24, 1985 in Glendale, California) was an American animator and comic book writer. His comic book work was mostly in Disney comics, writing stories featuring Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck. He was the writer who, along with artist Al Hubbard, created Fethry Duck and Hard Haid Moe. Kinney is the younger brother of fellow Disney animator Jack Kinney. Earlier, as an animation writer, Kinney was part of the story crew on various Disney, Walter Lantz Productions, UPA and Jack Kinney Productions/King Features Syndicate theatrical and TV cartoons. The Lantz cartoon "Niagara Fools," featuring Woody Woodpecker, represented perhaps Kinney's most fondly remembered original storyline. Later, Kinney would remake the story for comics with Fethry Duck in, essentially, the Woody role.

Allan "Al" Hubbard (1913–1984, d. Fallbrook, California) joined the Disney animation department in 1937 then left in 1941 to become a full-time comics artist.
