Overview

Book 1 of the "The VIKINGS! Trilogy":
Determined to earn his ride to Valhalla, aging Eric Bjornson seeks the most glorious death ever ... but his Christian companions refuse to sacrifice their lives so that Eric can earn his death! Hunted by the Saxon nobility, the companions embark on a quest across Northumbria, chased by an army of 7,000 Norse warriors, which pits them against the darkest curse in England. Befriended and supplied by a kindly farmer, the companions ride into a peaceful village ... unaware the Eric intends to sacrifice the villagers to slow their pursuers. Furious at Eric, the men threaten to split the company over their betrayal, but the women refuse their quarrels and assume command. However, both women are secretly in love with Karl, who loves both and can't choose between them. Jealousies threaten to tear the company apart a second time, but the royal ladies' rivalry is calmed by, of all people, an aged English prostitute. Yet, when facing a mystical foe, a snobbish Druid priest offers to save them ... but his price is the leadership of their company. Wounded by their magical foes, they find themselves captured by the local Saxon leader, and imprisoned in the midst of his huge army ... until the Norse army arrives. At great risk, the companions must escape ... only to find themselves trapped in the middle of the war.

Exciting and educational, "The VIKINGS! Trilogy" introduces outrageous, intelligent characters on an amazing journey filled with deeply-researched historical and mythological accuracy.
