Some authors know exactly where their novels are going to go. They have a plan and successfully stick to it, knowing what to write, when to write, and what information they need to write the novel.

I don't write that way.

There is never a plan.

I am often just as surprised as my readers about the way a story goes, how many volumes it takes, and the twists and turns of the novel.

And the characters just happen. It's like throwing a party and seeing who turns up.

I am Em Brooks, an author of fiction and mysteries. I found a passion for writing at a young age but have only just begun to share my writing with the public. I write what I wouldn't mind reading myself and you never quite know where I will take you next. My debut novel is Along the Way, a story that is 20 years in the making.
