Deli owner and amateur sleuth, Moira Darling, is enjoying the annual Winter Festival in her quaint hometown of Maple Creek, Michigan, and is gearing up for a sweet Valentine's Day. Her holiday plans are derailed, however, when Moira discovers a body in her shop. While she's busy investigating a murder, and trying to run her busy deli, Moira is dismayed to learn that a new competitor has opened a shop in town.
