As an IT methodology expert and an entrepreneur, the question that I propose to ask is simple—could entrepreneurism use a little science, a little engineering, and a little methodology infusion? Looking at startup success factors of two failures for every three businesses should be enough to answer that question. Even if one of those failures has nothing to do with science, its failure being contingent on bad timing, poor funding, divorce, there will still be another start-up that failed because of poor planning, poor execution, and poor analysis.
This book and its methodologies would likely prevent startup failures like the latter. I would argue that the methodologies herein would go a long way in preventing some of the other kinds of failures too.
I hope this book serves to "methodically engineer" all of you into a successful venture. Anytime you can remove some of the risk associated with the startup process, do it! These two methodologies go a long way in removing some of the business startup risk factors.
