About the Author

Yolanda Colston Avery is an American screenwriter and business entrepreneur. Yolanda is the creator and writer of The Baking Club Chronicles: Nana’s Bammy Sweets. A story of five middle-aged to elderly women who open a bakery selling "baked" goods that are infused with marijuana. The script was featured on The Blacklist online script website where it caught the attention of Mehul Shah Owner of Kinetik Films LLC. This is Yolanda’s first debut as a writer that is said to go into production in the fall of 2017 with a release date of September 2018.
Early
Yolanda Colston Avery was born in Monroe, Louisiana. She graduated in 1990 from Ouachita Parish High School, Monroe. She attended Ultimate Medical Academy, Florida and earned an Associate degree in Pharmacy Technician and the University of Phoenix where she obtained a Bachelor in Management and currently finishing her Master's degree in Health Administration with a concentration Informatics.
Career
Yolanda had a desired for owning her own business that best served the public, through her history of past employment, set the stage for her entrepreneur spirit. With her drive in full force, Yolanda has made outstanding achievements with each position she held with various employers, but something was still missing. It was not until the year of 2014 that Yolanda's vision and desires were destiny to a new direction in her career. This was the beginning of the "Bammy Sweets" dream was birth.
Bammy Sweets was a fictional business in the film of Nana’s Secret Recipe. This business was the inspiration behind the upcoming movie. Yolanda has secured the rights and ownership to bring this business to fruition by having product placement in the film itself and major chain stores with the help of Distribution and Product Branding partnerships. Since the creation of the movie, "Bammy Sweets, LLC" is in operations.
YoSugga Sweets Productions, LLC is also an upcoming production that owned by Yolanda Avery. This production is currently in ventures of creating other media venues that will involve reality shows, movies and other dealings that pulls its talent from its in-house Talent Agency called Sugga Sweets Agency.
Family
Yolanda parents are Herbert P. Colston and Cleola F. Ware. She has a sister, brother, and two half-sisters. She is married to Christopher Avery with four children and three grandchildren.
