Overview

After a 15-year studio break, Christian collective Hillsong Worship return with their fifth official album, Awake. Though countless live albums and releases from Hillsong offshoots filled the gap through the years, the main worship band had not recorded in the studio since 2004's Faithful. With Awake, they deliver 12 new tracks designed to elevate Jesus Christ and provide material for worship bands around the world. Recorded in California and Australia, the album features single "King of Kings," which placed across U.S. Christian Songs, Airplay, Digital, and Streaming charts. The album itself topped the main Christian albums chart and also broke into the Top 40 on the Billboard 200. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
