Overview

"All Tangled Up - Olivia" is the first in a three book series which is a true to life beacon of hope. The series tugs at the very heartstrings of the human soul as it takes its readers on an emotional roller coaster ride through the joyful, lovable and exciting, yet at times, tragic life of 47 year old Olivia Marie Dansinger.

You know that old-age question, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" Olivia is the person they were referring to. She appears to be a rock solid Christian with unwavering faith whom everyone loves and admires, but what they do not know, is that she is sad, lonely and as fragile as an eggshell. This beautiful, mid-western, Christian redhead St Louis Cardinals fan quickly becomes real to the reader as the unforgettable story unfolds. It uniquely combines the wonders of nature, American patriotism and an underdog's determination and unrelenting faith in God despite a lifelong barrage of seemingly insurmountable odds in a beautiful, but oftentimes cruel world.

"All Tangled Up - Olivia" starts out in the summer of 2014 with Olivia in the midst of a mission trip to Kavanaugh, Tennessee. Kavanaugh is a small town located just outside of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park which was recently ravaged by a pair of freak tornadoes. The calling to come to Tennessee came to Olivia at a dire time when she needed it most. Just when the circumstances of life had become too much to bear and she was ready to call it quits altogether, God steered her i a new direction. Her sole purpose in coming to Kavanaugh was to find and help a young boy named, "Tommy" whom was orphaned by the tornadoes. What Olivia didn't know however, is that God had a lot more in mind. Many prayers may soon be answered and despite her fears based on unimaginable events from the past, Olivia may even find the true love she has yearned so desperately for all of her life.

Through "All Tangled Up - Olivia" and the soon to be released, "All Tangled Up - The Journey" and , "All Tangled Up - Full Circle" see the wonders of God's love and mercy revealed through the interwoven events surrounding Olivia, a WWII paratrooper in 1944, an orphaned boy, a lonely widower, a hardened and bitter old man, a Smoky Mountain black bear and a whole passel of unique and interesting characters. The story jumps back and forth through times sometimes leaving you hanging on the edge of your seat.

The love and betrayal, tenderness and abuse, and life and death accompanied with humorous events, reoccurring nightmares undying hope and unforeseen tragedies which fill Olivia's life not only will cause you to laugh, sigh, get mad, cry and feel like they are happening to you, but you will undoubtedly fall in love with and admire Olivia. You may even experience a story or two within the, "All Tangled Up" series which gives you the willies. "All Tangled Up - Olivia", "All Tangled Up - The Journey" and, "All Tangled Up - Full Circle" will each instill hope in a world that desperately needs it, help strengthen people's faith in God and truly shine like a diamond in the rough. I challenge you to read, "All Tangled Up - Olivia" and see how quickly you fall in love with Olivia.

A portion of all the author's proceeds are going to help fund Christian charities, mission trips to Honduras and all around the world and help start a missions oriented foundation in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

About the Author

J. D. Jenkins is a Christian carpenter living in Illinois with his beautiful wife, Sherry. He began writing Christian fiction as a tribute to his sister, Kathy Jo Jenkins who died of cancer in 1981 at the age of eleven. His first book, "God, It's Just Not Fair" was published in 2008 and a second revised edition is in the works. A portion of all the proceeds from J.D.'s writing goes to help various charities both in the U.S. and around the world.

J.D. is a U.S. Air Force veteran, a nature and exercise lover and he and his wife have been on several Christian medical mission trips to Honduras in the past two years. They have a special place in their hearts for Faith Home Orphanage in Honduras and for serving the poor people living in the villages of Honduras.

In answer to a higher calling, J.D. and his wife hope to move to the great Smoky Mountains in the near future where they hope to start a Christian Ministry / Foundation that creates jobs, helps others and allows them to do missions and work for God full-time.

Just like the characters in his stories, J. D. has had a remarkable life filled with joys and sadness, adventure and heartbreak and blessings and tragic loss. He has experienced successes and extreme trials of the faith. He believes that everything we experience in life can be used for good or bad and its up to each of us to decide which road we will take. When we are treated unfairly and life kicks us in the teeth we can moan and groan and hate those responsible or we can pick ourselves up and continue to try and emulate Jesus in all that we do.

"All Tangled Up" is a three book series which took nearly six years to complete. Book One, presently just released and subtitled, "Olivia" will soon be followed by "All Tangled Up - The Journey" and, "All Tangled Up - Full Circle." The complete trilogy should make it out just in time for the holiday season.

J.D. has recently started a new website at www.live4jesus.us which promises to grow with time.

Contact J.D. via email at live4jesus.net to schedule book signings, speaking engagement, make prayer requests, etc.

J.D.'s philosophy is this, "Put God first in all you do and then dare to aim for the stars. Life will undoubtedly try to knock you to the ground at times, but God will lift you back up if you trust Him. If you fall short of the stars you aimed for, you can still grab a cloud and even on the darkest of days, God loves you!
