About the Author

I have always found myself writing, and if not telling tall tales. I graduated from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 1990. By 1992 I had spent so much time in the New Brunswick campus library, even though I was not attending Graduate Studies, I felt I got a PhD in Writing. And maybe in Reading. Being part of the New York Literary scene- reading at cafes, bars, halls, I experienced the taste of the deep historical aspect of what it is to be a writer, a solitary being, and yet wonderfully find oneself amongst one's kind. When I met my lifelong writing partner we spent seven years on A Rose So That It May Rain. Published in 2007 the book has sold in 18 countries. My dreams come true, eventually. I've met my heroes, some I've befriended. I've also met my enemies, and battled, and survived. Writing is adventure. It took me to live and work and write in California for seven years. It's taken me to Miami where, in dire straights I hammered out in four months my third novel. It's a tough life, a haggard reporter's hit-the-beat life, yet my dreams come true. Eventually. With the discovery of Smashwords I now know my work will be available in full for my fans and my future fans. That is dream come true. Having some one say "I loved that book" or "that article" or even "I hated that writing" still, still.. it all makes it all, worth while.
