About the Author

About the Author
Prince Anthony Adefarakan as he is popularly called is the M.D/CEO of Aquaton Konsults, Nigeria, West Africa. He is an experienced Fisheries Consultant with vast wealth of knowledge in matters relating to fish production. He has practically demonstrated artificial fish breeding, fish ponds construction, fish feeding, fish disease and management among other fish production techniques to a large number of farmers far and wide. In addition to training these farmers (some of which are students, retirees and investors), he has been personally involved in their business set up; providing the necessary resources to ensure their success.
At some point in his Fisheries career, he served as a Master Aquaculture Service Provider (MASP) to a Department for International Development (DFID) funded project in the Niger Delta part of Nigeria (Market Development Project in the Niger Delta). He also served as one of the USAID's Nigerian Agricultural Enterprise Curriculum (NAEC) trainers in the Niger Delta.
His impact was felt in academics as well. He was a lecturer and also the personnel appointed to handle the Fisheries section of the World Bank funded STEP-B Project of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba where he had the opportunity to impact the Agriculture students of the institution with relevant aquaculture knowledge capable of making them self-reliant upon graduation. Furthermore, he has had the opportunity to serve as one of the Fisheries Examiners and Moderators for West African Examination Council.
This book is therefore a compressed presentation of both his theoretical and field expertise. For successful fish production at all levels, this handbook is a must read
He currently lives in Canada with his wife and son.
