John Romanowski fell in love with Detroit during his early childhood. He was mesmerized by Detroit's history of the 1900s and served as a proud veteran of the US Air Force and as an employee of the Ford Motor Company.
With his wife, he lives in Warren and is a local historian. In his pursuit of a legacy, he restored "Detroit and Vicinity", a souvenir booklet that was published in 1909.
