All you need to know about your waterproof NOOK GlowLight Plus™

NOOK GlowLight plus is IP67 certified which means it is waterproof in fresh water for up to 30 minutes at a maximum depth of 1 meter (3.28 feet). Avoid immersion in saltwater or other liquids. The USB port must be completely dry before inserting a USB cable to charge your device or connect it to a computer. Please be aware of the following when caring for your NOOK GlowLight Plus:

  • If the device is exposed to fresh water, shake the device gently with the USB port facing down to remove excess water. Then, using a microfiber cloth, dry the device and the USB port thoroughly. Repeat this procedure until the USB port is completely dry. Never use a hairdryer to dry any wet parts.
  • If the device is exposed to lightly chlorinated water from a swimming pool, first rinse the device and the USB port under fresh water. Then shake the device gently with the USB port facing down to remove excess water. Then, using a microfiber cloth, dry the device and the USB port thoroughly. Repeat this procedure until the USB port is completely dry. Never use a hairdryer to dry any wet parts.
  • Do not expose the device to seawater, salt water, detergent, liquid chemicals or beverages other than fresh water. Use in moist environments with extreme temperatures, such as a hot shower or steam room, is not recommended.
