About the Author

John Richard Stephens is the author/editor of numerous books, including The King of the Cats and Other Feline Fairy Tales, Mysterious Cat Stories, and The Enchanted Cat.

Before becoming an author, John gained experience in a wide variety of occupations ranging from work as a psychiatric counselor in two hospitals and three mental health facilities to being an intelligence officer and squadron commander in the U.S. Air Force.His books have been selections of the Preferred Choice Book Club, the Quality Paperback Book Club and the Book of the Month Club. His work has been published as far away as India and Singapore and has been translated into Japanese and Finnish.
