I was both n the Asian part of Russia (Ekaterinburg in the Ural Mountans. I live in Jaffo. I spent twenty years working at Tel-Aviv University for the Megiddo Archaelogical Expedition. I studied ancient ceramics and how it influenced ancient metrology. Home cooking is another part of my creative self. It is linked to my interest in photography when gorgeous and elegant dishes are beautifully served and photographed for the public. My studio is my small garden and the light of a generous Israeli sun that shines every day even in winter. Carmel Market with its colonial spices and fragrances is next to where I live. I like making photos of beautiful places and interesting (or weird) people in streets or markets. Everything beautiful, exciting or tantalizingly interesting gives me a spark of creativity and results in recipes, photos or stories from Jaffo.
