Overview

Wax art can be anything from candlemaking to a Madame Tussaud exhibit. Apply it to fabric, paper, wood, or stone. Make framed designs, greeting cards, calendars, T-shirts, or tote bags. Wax art is the application of specially formulated colored wax to encaustic art card or other media using an ordinary household nonsteam iron. The effect can be a somewhat surreal landscape similar to work done with a palette knife or a textured abstract. The projects in this book include landscapes, greeting cards, and wax printing on fabric. All are illustrated with wax art done by the author.
