Jaco Jacobs is the author of more than 170 books and more than a million copies of his books have been sold. His work has been awarded 40 times. World rights to two of his books were acquired by OneWorld and during 2018 A Good Day for Climbing Trees and A Good Night for Shooting Zombies were released. Both books have been nominated for the Carnegie Medal. Translation rights were also sold to Italy, the Netherlands and Brazil. Two of his books have been adapted to film with a third in production. Jaco lives in Bloemfontein with his wife, Elize, their daughters, Mia and Emma, three dogs, a cat and a pet python.

Gwendolene van der Merwe lives in Strand, Cape Town. She obtained a BA in visual communication design at Stellenbosch University followed by her honours degree in illustration. She was recognized as an emerging creative in 2017 by Design Indaba. Her preferred mediums are water colour, collage and digital. She finds most of her inspiration from childhood memories and her dreams.
