Gr 1–3—Through these books, children can get up-close looks at creatures that are often overlooked. Their life cycles, adaptation to their environments, and diets are all explained in a clear and precise format. The large, colorful photos giving size comparisons and magnified details will appeal to children. Although easy to read, these titles provide adequate information for reports. A craft that uses readily available materials is included.
