Among other achievements, Jenkins has been honored with the 2013 Red Smith Award and the 2017 Ring Lardner Award for Excellence in Sports Journalism, and in 2012 he was inducted into the 2012 World Golf Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement Category.

About the Author

DAN JENKINS is the author of twenty-three books—twelve novels and eleven works of nonfiction, written over a career that has spanned seven decades. A TCU graduate, Jenkins spent fifteen years writing for Fort Worth and Dallas newspapers before heading for New York and national fame. One of only four writers who have been inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, Jenkins has also been inducted into the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, and the Texas Golf Hall of Fame, among many other honors. After thirty years in New York City, Jenkins and his wife June returned to Fort Worth, where they now live.
