About the Author

Master of Arts - Art Education, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH
Bachelor of Fine Art - Photography, Miami University

“As a teacher and naturalist I have a deep passion to help students understand the world around them. Animals like people have personalities, my book was designed with this thought in mind. I hope you will walk away enlightened and enriched.”

There are many roles we live going though life, here are a few of mine: Father, Husband, Author, Illustrator, Photographer, Publisher, Rotarian, Teacher, Environmentalist, Conservationist.

I’d rather see a sermon than to hear one any day
I’d rather one should walk before me, than merely show the way
For the eyes of this pupil are more willing than the ear
Fine counsel is confusing but examples always clear
And the best of all the preachers are those that live their creeds
Or to see the good in action is what everybody needs
Oh I can soon learn how to do it, if you let me see it done
I can watch your tongue in action, and your tongue too fast may run
For the lectures you deliver may be wise and true
But you know, I’d rather get my lesson by observing what you do
For I may misunderstand you in the high advice you give
But there is no misunderstanding how you act and how you live.
