About the Author

Because of family health conditions, (diabetes type one also known as juvenile onset diabetes with one of our children) I, like many people thought that most of the food I bought was healthy and good for my family to eat. With the onset of diabetes, I soon learnt about the hidden sugar put into a great variety of bought food. This was my first shock. Many years later, (2017) our family from England came over to see us in Australia. I didn't take much notice at first, but started to observe our three year old granddaughter wanting a sugary fruit drink about the same time each day. It wasn't until and after the family's return back to the UK, I started to think about the 'demand' behaviour exhibited by the child. I went down to the local supermarket and bought a lot of 'junk food and drink' all in plastic-lined boxes and bottles. At home, I started reading the ingredients of this 'junk' I had bought. That was the beginning of my research over a two-half year period. From that work, my book, Devils In Our Food emerged. The research and cross-referencing I had done made me feel extremely angry as I discovered the 'hidden truth' about what food manufacturers were putting into children and adult food. We are not made aware of the poisons used by food manufactures, nor are we made aware of the long-term illness these poisons can do to the human body. These poisons can manifest in cancers, tumours, birth defects, nerve damage, brain damage and illness and other negative outcomes on the human body for both children and adults.
